MONTGOMERY CENTER, Vt. -- A northern Vermont inn has secured a coveted spot on TripAdvisor.com's 2012 rankings of Top Pet-friendly Hotels in the United States. The Phineas Swann Bed and Breakfast Inn, located in Montgomery Center, Vermont, was ranked #3 on this prestigious list, one of the two New England lodging establishments to earn such distinction on this nationwide line-up.
TripAdvisor gathered the Top 10 List from the most highly rated properties on its site that allow pets as of July 30, according to a statement. The online travel site also surveyed more than 1,000 pet owners in the country and found that 49% plan to travel with their pets in the next 12 months and 56% will bring their pets with them to stay in a hotel.
