The fun begins on the Common at 9:30 AM with the traditional Pet Show. Kids' games, including the Dunking Booth and Bounce House, are scheduled to be open from 10 AM to noon. Field Day Games, Pie Eating Contest and the Crazy Hat Contest will also be scheduled. Craftsbury Historical Society will be open with wonderful exhibits and Craftsbury history. The Craftsbury Fire Department will be serving hamburgers and hot dogs. The Village Improvement Society will be offering a luncheon in the Church on the Common. The weekly Common Farmer’s Market will be open as well.
The highlight of Old Home Day is the parade beginning at 1 PM. Parade participants are invited to assemble in the Dustan Field parking lot at 12:30 PM. Area schools, organizations, and individuals are encouraged to create a float and share in the excitement and fun.
Following the parade will be the annual performance of the Craftsbury Summer Shakespeare Camp. This year’s performance will take place behind Craftsbury Academy’s Minden Hall.
At 3:30 PM, the Craftsbury Masons will begin serving their famous grilled chicken dinner at the Craftsbury Masonic Lodge.
