



Bluegrass Legends Chris Brashear and Jim Watson

Chris Brashear is an exceptional acoustic music performer, a colorful fiddler and guitarist, a charismatic singer with a high, clear voice, and a talented songwriter who portrays contemporary life with old-time flavor. Chris currently tours as a member of the internationally known band "Robin & Linda Williams and Their Fine Group", and as half of the duo "Chris Brashear & Peter McLaughlin". His most recent recording, Heart of the Country, was produced by award winning Nashville producer Jim Rooney, and will be released in August of 2012. Durham, North Carolina native Jim Watson has long been a fixture of the American traditional music scene. Jim is well-known for his paint-peeling vocals and instrumental skills on mandolin, guitar, and bass. In 1972, along with Bill Hicks and Tommy Thompson, he founded the old time string band the Red Clay Ramblers, leaving the group in 1986. In 1988 Jim joined up with Robin and Linda Williams playing bass. He continues touring with Robin and LInda Williams and Their Fine Group along with Chris Brashear. Jim and Chris have been playing together for five years. Jim has recorded numerous albums with the Red Clay Ramblers and has three solo albums.
