FREE. Ride the Cross VT Trail with family and friends through beautiful Groton State Park past lakes, mountains, and working farms, surrounded by peak fall foliage. Ride begins at Kettle Pond parking lot on Rte 232 in Groton State Park and ends at Blue Mt. School off Rte 302 in Wells River with cookout to celebrate the 2012 trail season. Meet 9:30am for sign-in and safety check, ride 10:00am. Ride is 17 miles long but mostly downhill with shuttle option for return. Volunteers needed to help with shuttle.
