Available Now! Vermont's Northeast Kingdom Geotourism MapGuide was developed by the Northeast Kingdom Geotourism Alliance Workgroup and the Center for Sustainable Destinations at National Geographic.

As a part of the MapGuide project, residents and visitors of Vermont's Northeast Kingdom were asked to nominate their favorite places in the Kingdom for inclusion on the map. From all the entries, National Geographic will select approximately 40 sites which will appear on the MapGuide. Places chosen for inclusion on the MapGuide will support the Northeast Kingdom’s character of place and reflect tourism that is respectful of our environment, of our towns and landscapes, and of the people who live here. Examples of the content for the map might include: historic town centers, natural attractions, a restaurant serving traditional regional cuisine made from local ingredients, farmers markets, or distinctive seasonal events.
