Get away to The Craftsbury Outdoor Center for an active vacation or just to relax. The friendly atmosphere allows large groups, families or individuals to feel right at home. Our varied lodging is simple and comfortable. You can choose from a room with single beds and a shared or private bath, multi-room suites, or private lakeside cottages. Our lodging prices include all your meals served in our Vermont Fresh Network affiliate dining hall. Meals are all you can eat, and always offer vegetarian options with lots of healthy, local-sourced ingredients to re-fuel hungry bodies.

During the summer season, we offer running and sculling camps for all ages and abilities - or build an adventure you and your family will remember! Our campus offers about 20k of mountain bike trails for riders of differing skill levels, and they're great for running or hiking as well. We're situated on a quiet country road, perfect for a leisurely tour of the surrounding countryside. Or get together a game of croquet, badminton, volleyball or basketball. Afterwards, relax lakeside. Go for a swim or paddle one of our kayaks or canoes.

In the winter, we offer cross-country skiing on over 100k of PistenBully groomed ski trails with classic and skate lanes throughout. While our snow is renowned as "Best in the East", beginning in winter '11-12, we've augmented what Mother Nature gives us with snow-making capacity, creating a more reliable and consistent ski season - 140 days even in limited snow years!

We've also joined a group of volunteers in grooming Highland Lodge's trails in Greensboro. These trails offer additional ski opportunities, and make for a great ski trip to remember. Winter weekends and Holidays, Craftsbury provides free shuttles twice daily to ferry guests and members to the Lodge for a schuss back to the Center.

For a different means of travel, our snowshoe network is a great way to spot animals or their tracks as you travel at a slower pace. You can rent all the equipment you need for either snowshoeing or skiing at our Touring Center. Don't forget to take advantage of our skating pond (with free ice skate rentals!) located next to the ski shop. The cozy Touring Center is also the place to find hot chocolate and a warm fire!

In addition to all of these activities, the Center is working to become more sustainable throughout its business. We've installed solar panels that generate up 38% of our electricity usage; created a compost program for food scraps from our dining hall;  expanded the Center gardens, focusing on more edible crops; upgraded to renewable high-efficiency wood boilers in our lodges, power our grooming equipment with biodiesel - and more! Driving these initiatives is the mission of the now non-profit Craftsbury Outdoor Center:

-to support and promote participation and excellence in lifelong sports with a special focus on rowing, nordic skiing, and running;
-to use and teach sustainable practices; and
-to protect and manage the surrounding land, lake and trails.

Whether you become an annual member, visit us for a camp or program, or make us the setting for your group or family getaway, we're sure that your time at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center will be remembered long after your visit! Hope to see you soon!
