ENewsletters…go out once a month to over 5,000 subscribers. In addition, a Marketing Partners ENewsletter goes out several times a year to keep our partners updated on NEKTTA.
The Northeast Kingdom Travel Planner…is currently in distribution at local businesses, welcome centers throughout VT, and select locations throughout New England and Canada.
Tapping Into the Canadian Market
In addition to targeting various cities in New England, NEKTTA actively pursues the Canadian Market. As well as print and online advertising we also manage a training program designed to help businesses host the Canadian Traveler. We provide you with an Iframe for you website that has valuable information in French and English on crossing the border.
Regional Publicity
NEKTTA works with the Vermont Department of Tourism & Marketing and others in an effort to lure travel writers and travel trade professionals to the area. We also host an annual FAM (familiarization) trip each year in an effort to showcase the area to various media personnel.
The NEK Network of WiFi Hotspots
NEKTTA is responsible for the Northeast Kingdom network of WiFi hotspots. The network provides area businesses advertising and audience capture opportunities as well as a custom created WiFi landing page that showcases their business and the surrounding area. The WiFi network also showcases regional travel information and encourages return visits and/or extended stays.
Travel Trade Shows
NEKTTA allocates funding to participate in key travel trade and recreation shows in an effort to showcase the region. Key among the shows are The New York Times Travel Show, The Boston Globe Travel Show, The Montreal International Tourism & Travel Show, and the Big-E.
