Visit R.O.O.T.S. - Reclaiming Our Origins Through Traditional Skills - in East Calais and sign up for one of many courses including tracking, bow building, ancient living skills, and more...This summer, they will be offering children's day and week long camps including the Clovis and Jumping Mouse programs and the Teen Scout and Teen Catalyst Programs. Come explore the woods with Siskin Ecological Adventures in East Charleston where you can learn to identify the trees of the Northern woods or investigate the signs and tracks left behind by our wildlife residents. For information about other adventures at Siskin, please visit our Events Calendar.

NorthWoods Stewardship Center in East Charleston can take you on a guided, moonlit canoe tour or keep your kids active with their day camps. Winter fun includes snowshoeing, cross country skiing, tracking, and sledding. Summer camps for a variety of ages include canoeing, swimming, hiking, ropes courses, fishing, archery and more.

NorthWood's mission of fostering long-term stewardship of human and natural communities is achieved through the integration of its five program areas: land management, conservation science, education, outdoor recreation, and conservation service. It is the synergy of these programs that helps create responsible and informed citizens capable of sustaining vibrant communities and a healthier natural environment.
