






Theatrical offerings in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom are as varied and
unique as the region itself from the high flying twists, turns, & amazing acrobatics of the Annual Circus Smirkus Big Top Tour to the politically opinionated shenanigans at the Bread & Puppet Theater.
At Catamount Arts Center, you can catch an indie film in one of their 2 newly renovated theaters, enjoy The Met: Live in HD with performances including ‘Carmen’ and ‘Romeo & Juliet’, or enjoy one of the many musical performances they sponsor. Check their website often as new events are added throughout the year.
The Haskell Opera House hosts concerts and shows throughout the summer including the Warebrook Contemporary Music Festival, Banjo Dan and the Mid-nite Plowboys, the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, and even ‘Snoopy, the Musical!’ QNEK Productions is the resident theater company of the Haskell and shows this summer include ‘Nunsense', and ‘Epic Proportions’.
Thespians as young as 7 years old take to the stage in an old barn converted into a 200 seat theater that hosts the Vermont Childrens’ Theater. Past shows include ‘Beauty is a Beast’, ‘Cosmic Nightingale’, and ‘Honk’.
