This area is known for robust offerings of fresh foods, artisan cheeses, community events and festivals, and artistic flair. Along almost every country road in this area you will happen upon an artist’s studio, a working farm, or a crafter’s workshop. The end results of their efforts can easily be found and enjoyed at the area farmers markets and craft fairs held throughout the region in every season.

When you visit the Town & Country region we suggest you take time to explore the shops and local food cooperatives that sell the many varieties of locally produced artisan cheeses. Vermont is the nation’s primary producer of farmstead cheeses and this region features some of the best to include Bonnie View and Jasper Hill Cheeses. Also in the area is Cabot Creamery. Cabot Vermont Cheddar has won virtually every major national and international award for taste in the past ten years. You can nibble your way around the plant where this famous cheddar, assorted flavored cheeses, and other specialty foods are
made in the town of Cabot – a gateway to the Kingdom.
